JAKARTA.kompas.com – Halal Super Angels (HASAN) Demo Day Jakarta 2024 was held to support the start-up company ecosystem and present creative solutions that answer industry challenges halal global.
Demo Day Jakarta 2024 was initiated by HASAN Venture Capital & Accelerator (HASAN VC), in collaboration with the Indonesian Sharia Fintech Association (AFSI), the National Committee for Sharia Economics and Finance (KNEKS), and Bank Indonesia ( BI).
HASAN VC Managing Partner Umar Munshi said that this event is expected to support the halal startup ecosystem in Indonesia.
“We hope that this event can be a catalyst for the growth of the halal industry, attract the interest of investors both from within and outside the country, and inspire the birth of more innovators in the halal sector,” he said at a press conference at the HASAN Startup Demo Day Jakarta 2024 event, Wednesday (7/8/2024).
Meanwhile, General Chair of the Indonesian Sharia Fintech Association (AFSI) Ronald Yusuf Wijaya said that his party plays a role in introducing halal startups to investors.
“We hope that, through this opportunity, investors can be more actively involved and increase investment “capital for halal startups, thereby supporting growth and innovation in the halal ecosystem,” he said.
A little note, HASAN Startup Demo Day Jakarta 2024 presents 18 innovative halal startups from Indonesia, Malaysia and Singapore.
Meanwhile, this startup presents various innovations that answer the unique needs of a halal lifestyle, ranging from animation and advertising studios, artificial intelligence-based Al-Quran learning applications, technology-based takaful aggregators, to special applications for people with disabilities.
According to Ronald, this innovation is not only relevant to current market trends, but is also in line with the national strategy and Indonesia’s vision as the center of the world sharia economy.
On the other hand, in developing the halal industry in Indonesia collaboration is needed between the government, industry players and start-up companies.
“HASAN Demo Day 2024 has proven that Indonesian halal startups have enormous potential to compete at the global level,” he said.
